Upload lab results

Any lab report in any language works. Here is how to get the cleanest parse and what to sanity-check after upload.

Supported formats

  • PDF — native PDFs parse perfectly. Scanned PDFs use OCR.
  • Photos — JPG or PNG of a printed report. Shoot in good lighting, keep the paper flat.
  • CSV / XLSX — exports from LabCorp, Quest, Diagnostyka, LUX MED, InVitro, and most European labs.

Photo tips

  • One page per photo.
  • Avoid reflections & shadows — use your iPhone's Notes app "Scan Documents" feature for best results.
  • If the original is long, split into several photos — you can upload up to 10 at once.

Don't have recent labs?

The detailed plan will suggest which labs to request, tailored to your genome and symptoms. You can always come back later and upload new results — Whale DNA will refresh your plan.

Privacy

PDFs are OCR'd in-memory on EU servers, converted to a structured table, then deleted. Only the structured numbers remain in your dashboard.
